Today is International Women's Day.
It is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.
For this IWD, I thought I would ask celebrities about the women they admire most.
I am so grateful that these wonderful women took the time out of their incredibly busy schedules to participate.
"Nicole Kidman is a great actress and philanthropist with an extraordinary career. She's a great role model for young women around the world.
My mum. Her fight and grace under blight of big C is humbling, inspiring, moving and all kinds of fierce! An honour to walk with her.
Kiersten Warren is a great and loyal friend, a superb actress, an inspiration as a mom. Her love is unconditional. And she is FUN!!!"
"I admire Jessica Lange. I think she in an incredible talent as well as being one of the most beautiful actresses of our time".
"My mother, my grandmother, Katharine Hepburn and Madeleine Albright".
"Oprah Winfrey. She is one hundred percent honest. She has a generous heart and is an inspiration to so many people around the world!"
"Former Governor-General, Quentin Bryce is a woman to admire because of her humanitarianism, her poise and superb manners.
The first ever Australian female head of state is a fashion icon and has demonstrated her stoic nature by putting up with the machinations of dealing with Buckingham Palace for so long.
Jana Wendt who has shown women in media how to age gracefully and with her acute intellect, how to remain relevant."
"I admire the funny ladies, those who make us laugh. Think Sarah Silverman, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Kathy Griffin and Chelsea Handler. And the Australian talent we have here is huge. Wendy Harmer, Julia Morris, Judith Lucy to name just a few.
There have been many opinion pieces and articles (written by men of course) insisting that women cannot be, or are not funny. And it is a complete crock of bull.
So hats of to my favourite funny ladies and thanks for the laughter lines!"
(Just quietly, Mrs Woog is my favourite Aussie blogger. Check out her blog Woogsworld because she is hilarious).
"My Mama. She raised two girls on welfare."
"I admire my mum, Leigh and my two sisters Emma and Sarah.
They are strong, smart, loving, caring, considerate people who combine family and their working lives incredibly well."
"Angelina Jolie is real, approachable and stands up for what she believes in. Oh and always the most glam woman in the room."
I admire many fab women - but the top of my head local lady is Marie Bashir - bright, big-hearted, moral, grounded and kind
I admire so many, many women, I couldn't possibly narrow my choice down to a handful of women.
The world is full of the most remarkable, wonderful women.
